Air Conditioning not working??
I was out last night taking pics of my new HID's (see other thread) and I noticed that my A/C was not blowing as cold as it should (just blows outside temp), and my recirc button will not stay on. I have checked my 40amp "coolant fan fuse" that I read about in THIS thread and the fuse is not blown but doesn't have any power going to it. Now I am trying to locate the A/C clutch relay talked about HERE. My Bentley manual only says "is installed in any free position" in the 13-way relay carrier. Can anyone give me a better clue as to which relay it is I should be lookin at - like the relay # 204 or 207 something like that.
And If I'm on the wrong track and I need to look somewhere else or look at a different relay please chime in

Check your coolant pressure level. You can get a coolant recharge kit at any car parts store (or even Wally World), which should come with a can of r134 and a hose with a pressure gauge ($20-$30). Under the hood on the passenger side near the windshield, there are two bare metal tubes, each with a valve with a black cap. The smaller tube closest to the engine is the one you need. Becareful not to lose the O-ring out of the cap when you remove it, and don't over-tighten it when you replace it.
I'm not sure exactly how much coolant it takes to fill it, so I'd say buy a couple extra cans of r134 ($5-$10/each 12oz. can) along with the recharge kit to make sure you have enough. Don't quote me, but I think it should be around 20-60psi when full.

you only need 1 can of R134a to recharge your a/c system i can goes a real long ways when you are just recharging i bought 1 car and did about 15 cars with it most of the time you just need a a quick shot of R134a to fill the system but if it is low it don't work like it should. and lastly once you screw the gauge and fill nozle on don't remove it till the can is full gone becauseR134ais not an ozne depleting gas as R12 but it is not good the breath in andyou can't stop the can from venting once it havebeen removed from the gauge and nozle
ok - I have an apt tomorrow to get my system checked out, they are going to do a leakdown test and see if they can find a leak anywhere. thanks for the help
