While driving in hot weather, using the ac on the auto mode, it will switch independtly to the ECON mode and stop providing cool air. The only way to to get it back to the ac is to trun off the car and then re-start it. Any thoughts on what could be causing the problem?

 

maybe a fuse? the climate control one?
