1.8t or 2.8? If 2.8 look for a CAI somewhere and stop there. If 1.8t then get a k and n or other high flow oem panel filter and do this mod: http://www.europeanspeed.com/stage2.htm . DOnt cut the tube like they say.

Do those K&N filters take any maintenance? Is the installation as easy as taking the old one out and putting the new one in? lol

You really aren't going to see much of a gain with the K&N filter. Just be careful not to over oil the media or you might ruin your MAF sensor.

This was already stated in a previous post, but the reason for oiling a K&N filter is because it helps trap particles much better than using a stock paper filter, so the air stays cleaner. If you over do it when re-oiling the filter, you WILL screw up the MAF sensor. I did that on my previous car with a Volant intake. Just clean it, let dry, then re-oil but not to the point where its completely saturated.
