i installed an air/fuel ratio guage and it jogs around a lot. now i know its saposed to do this a little bit but mines all over the place. its not installed directly to the O2 sensor its about 6-9 inches away. could this be why i have a problem? maybe i really have an air/fuel ratio prob? i changed my spark plugs and this did nothing. any input could help.

 

need more info, what brand, is it wide band? Is it going full deflection and how long does it take to do that.

 

its faze brand, its not wide band and yes it goes full deflection right when i start it up.

 

your gauge prob only works at wot (wide open throttle) other than that it just moves around aimlessly. that is how mine works i had the same ? after i installed mine. i have a arm1 from split second

 

Unless a/f ratio gauges are wideband, they are purely a light show. I have yet to find a purpose for them.
