Does the carbonio even add a sound? It looks like a stock intake box just CF and a bit sleaker....

any pics of what is inside the box? Is it a cone or drop in filter?

I have wondered about this for a while now
it sort of streamlines the intake and dumps the air right onto the cone filter. but beware... once you have the carbob fiber under the hood you will want a carbon fiber engine cover to match. I saw a carbonio this weekend and when it was hot it looked greenish yellow? anyone else have this problem?

I remember reading this from the Carbonio site:

Long 1.8T Engine Cover

Features:
- Real carbon fiber construction
- CNC venting prevents premature coil pack failure
- High gloss urethane finish (will not yellow)
- Includes instructions

Maybe they changed the product recently and he had an older one? Or maybe it was hot enough under there for a long period of time and it just wore the finish off?

I am looking into getting a 1.8T, and this Carbonio inatke/valve cover is just sex I can't get over it....

I just bought an air intake for 2006 S4 25th anniversary edition. It was very easy to install and the company that I bought it from were incredibly friendly and very customer oriented...not to mention the directions were a breeze to follow.....go to www.stratmosphere.com. They will have everything you need specifically geared for Audi.

like i said, the Carbonio is definitely worth the money. And if you do a box mod, with the Carbonio, sickness. Loud as hell. but anyways, box mod is the best way to go because its a total of $7.58. LOL, and it takes a total of an hour. Go with what you want though bro, if you dont like the way it feels and sounds, just send it back and do a box mod or go with the carboinio

the carbonio sounds awsome, but the thing is its 400$, i can afford it no biggie, but i dont work dat many days(only 2 days a week xD, 200$ a month) right now i have a cell phone bill to pay, i have about 400$ saved, the phone is liek 120$, and i have some other crap that i have to pay for. I want to know if the box mod(top of the page) sounds good or not. To be honest i am really looking for the loud sound. any ways, so what do u guys think, should i go with the mod?

EDIT: lol how the hell am i gonna make those holes, unless, i get a lighter ge like a knife make it hot and make the hole lol, i dont have the damn tool, although i can take it to school and do it but my bro takes the car in morning(havent been able to drive my baby alot) so i dono what to do. i need a saw MUHahahahahah !!!!!!!!!

i have the carbonio on my b5 and it does definitely sound better. However, the carbon fiber is changing colors because of the heat, and to be honest, 300-400$ is a lot to spend on something like that. I mean I love the damn thing.. but it's something to think about..
