AirBag/ABS-Brake lites illuminated
For the second time in as many months, the Air Bag lite is on. Based on everyone's previous advice I pulled the seat and look at the connections and found nothing unusual. I also took a look at other physical connections, but again didnt see anything out of the ordinary. Last time I took her in to the dealer they changed a couple of connections under the seat and since it was under warranty it cost me $50. They may have done something else minor, but at this point I cant remember. Any idea if the warranty covers the same item if they have to look at the same thing a second time?
Next issue, ABS/Brake lite come on periodically. Not when I put my foot on the brake, but when I am on the open road. The longest the lites stayed on was for a few minutes and the shortest amount of time it stayed on was a few seconds. I've not noticed any degradation in the performance of the brakes, so I am hoping that that it gremlins...and not some major brake job. So I'm polling the group to see if any of you've had this happen before (I'm sure its not unique) and what was done to fix the problem.

1. Yes! As a matter of fact, I'd be all over Audi to fix something that wasn't remedied the first time. Get to it now. They'll be more willing to make it right the sooner you re-address their unfinished work. Get the air bag issue fixed and have the tech scan for codes. The last thing you want is a faulty airbag.
2. The only possible thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is the brake sensors in the pads may be exposed slightly. If they are slightly worn, they could be sending a signal intermittently. It doesn't mean that they need to be replaced... yet, but it's worth examining.

"Did I check the brake fluid", good question...yeah I sure did, right where its supposed to be. I've got an appt for Monday of next week to have the issues checked out. I always enoy dropping it off with the service guy there, Jim, he's got the personality of a wet fart.
