Default airbox mod question

so last night i set out to do this...following the instructions here. Now i have a question as i was not able to successfully remove it. heres what i did.....i unclipped the box in the 4 spots. i THINK i unplugged the wire loom although iim not sure...if someone can give me a bit more detail on that it'be great. Took of the inlet hose from the front by unscrewing the hose clamp and sliding. then i went to remove the heat shield..first off the top 2 screws are not even thre,...and the 2 lower screws are a bitch to get to....but wont budge...anyway i kept trying...but when i tried getting the heatshield past that hose that runs to the right of the box it wouldnt move...so....my questions are....
what exactly is the wire loom and how do i get it off(yellow)
does the entire heatshield have to come off...and if so waht do you you suggest(purple)
does the circled green thing come off

The heat shield does not have to come off to get the air box cover out of the way.

In addition to what you already know to do, disconnect the hose going to the check valve near the number 3 in your picture. Then pull the hose that goes through the clips (#7 & #9 in your picture) and push it out of the way. Now, pull up on the item circled in yellow to get it free of the air box cover. This should give you enough wiggle room to get the cover out of the way. (To get the cover totally free, you will need to disconnect the MAF wires (circled in green) from the MAF but, you don't need to do this to get the bottom of the air box out.) Now to get the bottom of the airbox out, remove the bolt (#10) and pull up. It should pop free with a little force.

Don't forget to reconnect the secondary air pump hose (the hard plastic hose under the air box) when you reinstall.

Everytime I go to do a DIY mod it rains on me.
CC mod, airbox mod, amp, boost gauge.... I really hope its not some sort of sign.
