It has been raining and pretty windy and I am thinking this is why my alarm keeps going off. I have turned the motion sensor off and that seems to be working. Is that sensor that sensitive to be set off by wind and rain?

 

Yes. If I leave my windows or sunroof open just a little it'll sometimes goes off.

 

All the windows and sunroof were closed and it was still going off I don't understand it. It is going to be a pain if I have to deactivate the sensor everytime I lock my car.

 

if you have Vag-Com you can clean the codes.

You also think about the discounnected the battery about 10-15 mins to reset the alarm.

Is it the interior motion sensor or the jacking/towing sensor that has to be turned off?
