Today i drove to the shops, got out of the car, took the key out of the ignition shut the door and left it unlocked for 5 minutes. When i came back all 4 electric windows were down!!! Ive recently had a hands free kit fitted but that shoudnt matter. The cars a an 2002 TDI 1.9 130bhp, ive only had it a month! What would be the problem!

Please help!

 

Window problems in Audis are common. I've had two fall down on me already - due to that little mechanism in them getting screwed. Never heard of it happenin' to 4 windows all at once. Do they close normally when you put 'em up?

 

Its your hands free kit interfering.. Or your car is possesed by the Audi devil...

 

Hows the hands free kit interferring with the window switches, didnt think that that would be the problem.

 

the lock mechanism is connected to the window controls...when you hold your key in the lock position in the door locks the windows will close...i couldn't tell you why they rolled down though

 

Ive sorted it! I must have had my finger on the unlock button on the remote as that puts all the windows down. Problem solved.
