Hey guys I recently bought my 2002 A4 as a daily driver. The car was fine when I bought it last month but today I noticed the car will not go into boost. I hear the turbo spooling but nothing. I checked the charge pips and they were fine. I check the compressor wheel and it was fine. Is this something that happens often? The car is never driven hard.

naw dude. audi's are just slow. this is normal. haha jk.
i dont know. i hear my **** spooling up too. but dont really feel any turbo kick
like i have felt in other cars. but i dont have a boost guage so who knows.

 

When I was stock, I could barely hear the turbo spool. Only time I really could was when I had the windows down, no music on and gunned it... or in a tunnel.

I presume you don't have a boost guage? You could have a boost leak.

 

You can check the boost level with a VAGCOM. Find someone in your neighborhood using the vagcom locator link in the forum
