E85 is a hell of a lot cheaper than 87, 89, or 92.. is it harmful?

audis have high compression engines, ergo they need high octane fuel to prevent knock.... so basically anything under the recommended octance (91) will cause knock, and damage your engine. it wont blow up, but it will do damage over time.

I put it in my VR6 a couple years ago when I drove to Des Moines because that's just about all they have up there and it caused my CEL to come on and I had to take it to VW to get it fixed. My buddy has a 2005 Tahoe and it did the same thing to his engine.
