HI Everyone,

I've got something else on my mind today... Sorry for all the posts - I'm just trying to get off on the right foot with my A4.

My 01 1.8T A4 has right under 40K on it. The dealer did the 40K service, but I was thinking that I should probably do an engine flush and oil change in another couple thousand miles with Amsoil. I really think it would be a good idea since my car was not given synthetic oil until I purchased it and god only knows how it was driven.

Can someone please tell me what engine flush, oil grade and oil filter I should use and how often you suggest I change my oil. Also, where can I get a good deal on Amsoil products? Please keep in mind that I live in Atlanta and it gets really hot and humid here.

amsoil sells there own engine flush.

i use amsoil 5w-30 7500. this oil is good for 7500 miles but i still change it about every 5000. they sell all grades of oil just pick one that might be good for your engine/ style of driveing

as for filters i have heard mann sells the best for our cars but i just use an amsoil one.
