My passenger side mirror doesn't move left-right. Can you pop off the glass to get into the guts? I'm thinkin it's a gear that's bad in there, because I think I can here the motor when I try to adjust it (I don't have my car right now, so I can't say for sure if the motor still works)

 

Bently manual says:

- To remove, use special tool 80-200. (improvise)
Use fabric reinforced adhesive tape at top and bottom to protect mirror housing from paint damage
- Pry mirror out at bottom first, then top.

 

I gotta get me one a them there Bentleys, but they're so damn expensive! I saw that if you buy a vag-com, they have discounted Bentleys available, anyone know how good of a price break they give you?
