Well I purchased my 98.5 Audi and it has a Sony H/U already installed. The rear speakers dont work and the radio doesn't work either. I pulled the head unit out and as far as i can tell, he did have a antenna harness. The radio will pick up NONE of the chanels. I dont know if it is bose or not beucase the radio was swapped and the speaker covers dont have bose on them...i'm going call audi with my vin shortly to check though (i just thought of that). i need my radio badly please help. cd's work fine in it, i just dont have back speakers. there are RCA's going to the back of the cd player though so i'm thinking he may have done some crazy wiring for the rear

First off get a harness but! i think only FM would work then as Most Audi's have 2 Separate harnesses for AM/FM. the other thing is that if he did putRCA's he might have another amp in addition to the factory amp.. A BIG NO NO which can blow out yur whole system. The front speakers are powered by the head unit while the rears have an amp its ona different wire harness which you probably still have there somewhere. My suggestion is if you don't kno what ur doing get pro to fix it because if it gets messed up its gonna cost alot more to fix, replace than if u would have done it in rght in thefirst place. but from the ound of it, therear speakers just arent hooked up to the amp.

 

you dont have bose if it isnt on the speakers

check to make sure the speaker amp is still wired to the bottom of the speakers in the back.. that may be your problem.. as far as a antenna.. i have no idea, i never listen to the radio anyway
