Default anti lock brake problem in 2001 A4

About three months ago I changed the brakes on my A4 and now for about the last two weeks the anti-lock brakes have been coming on for regular stops and not just when needed. It is not happening all the time and typically only happens as the car gets under 10 MPH. Has anyone experienced this with their Audi and/or does anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be?

Any help/advice/acknowledgement would be appreciated!

It could be the ABS Sensor, its very expensive to fix too... I HATE ABS so I pulled the fuse and just deal with the christmas lights...

After completely taking the breaks apart to see if we could see anything wrong with them (we didn't) the problem was still there so I did as you advised and I pulled the fuse as a temporary solution. After we did that thecar would not start with the engine just turning over and not catching.

Any further thoughts and ideas would be appreciated? Thanks!

Hmm maybe something is different on the 2001 models... Maybe there is a different way to disconnect the ABS sensor on newer models? anyone?

only 1 fuse I can see and its #17 but as its only happening now and the at low speed it sounds like the (BBP) break pedal position sensor code 00526 if you have VAG
