I am in negotiation with someone selling me a 2000 Audi A4 B5. I would greatly appreciate any advice on what I should lookout for when test driving the car. For example, tranny, engine, cv joints? How can I test the transmission to see if it's shifting propery. Is there a dip stick for the trans fluid? I believe the car is an automtic, so I am very skeptical about its maintenance. Currently, I own a B6 A4 and has been an awesome car, but it is 5spd manual so I dont have to worry to much about the trans. Obviously I will be checking for oil sludge and maintenance records if available. But any other pointers would be greatly appreciated.
