I have a 96 audi a4 2.8 fwd and have adjustable coilovers and want to know my limits as far as the stock struts go, I plan on replacing those eventually anyways.

 

2 inches is about all you can drop it on stock shocks... because well, thats the lowest spring they make

 

1.5" is really all I want to drop it, I had to drive a 400 pound kid on a 4 hour trip and he was on the same side the whole time so now I can only get half a fist in between my wheel and fender on the passenger side and 1 and a half fists on the driver side so it sits awkward, so I just want to eliminate the wheel gap altogether. But thanks, I appreciate the info.

I have just the spring that adjusts, you adjust the height and then just slide it over the strut.
