its just sad if a DV designed for their massive stage 3+ program tears on a test drive after getting a 1+ flash...

thats the first time i have heard a basic gt28rs called massive.

Theres no point. The strat dv will last aslong as the carassuming it is the piston version.
i dunno if it is or not...... like i said, i got it used with about 20k on it a yr ago....... but i get stuttering from it now and then, so that is why i was going to replace it
then take a peek and go to their site to find out. They have some piston and some diaphrams. If its a piston, just increase the load.

damn u gotta lighten up! there was some slight sarcasm intended there and yes the gt28rs is a big turbo for a 1.8t engine and yes i know they can do bigger and handle more power but the point is the R1 was designed for a 400+chp program and it tears within 1 mile of me getting a wimpy 1+ flash......

I guess, but going from 170 stock hp to 340 hp is a pretty massive jump...........compare a 170lb guy to a 340lb guy......one's average and the other is massive..........wow, I'm an idiot....that may have been the most worthless sentence I've ever written.

Lol, thanks for the support and the analogy! really puts it in perspective especially since APR updated their programming and injectors and their new kits put down roughly 310-320awhp which at 25% drivetrain loss puts it at roughly 400+/- chp!!!

I'm just hoping my R1 doesn't fail......since I tossed my stock DV. APR told me the same thing, that the R1 was bulletproof. Had it about 5 months now and everything seems to be fine.
