I am upgrading my 1.8t b5 to a ko4 turbo and I was wondering should i get the apr stage 1 chip or the GIAC chip or some other software????.....please reply

I think GIac will be better, as far as I know APR does not have program for K04.

 

Would you get ahold of yourself? Over the past couple days on countless forums you have been asking/pming nonstop about turbos.

 

The APR stage 1 chip will work fine with the K04 upgrade, however it isnt set up for it. This means you will not get the maximum possible performance out of your car with this chip. I don't know if GIAC has a chip tuned specifically for the K04, but if they do that's your best bet (and the chances are they do, they have lots of upgrades/options)

 

GIAC has the E05 file for the K04. That's what you want.

Also, search.

 

e05....pc-16....j31... are the fastest ko4 files you are going to find.

 

while on this subject .. i am apr tuned ... if i throw a ko4 in will i notice a difference

Oh you will notice a dif. The ecu is still going to request alot more boost then stock. Prolly a solid 30hp gain.
