pag parts sells a simular style manifold now but the flange is more in the middle. You can buy that one but you will still need a custom dp, but its a A4, that would be so easy for a exhaust shop and much cheaper than a aftermarket one. Plus you can get it with a t3 flange unlike the apr. Ill post up a pic of the manifold

then get an o2 spacer and call it a day. Its really not to hard.
Those dont work, i have one, and yes I installed it right, im not a dumbass..And still CEL, I have a b6 though, i dont know about b5's.
i tried two spark plug non foulers, then the CNC machined piece wayne over on vortex makes and i would still get an intermittent CEL... never know if it and when it would come on and how long it would stay on for...

finally got APR 1+ and the test pipe file.... no more CEL (at least for that reason)

like others have said... apr 3+ is plug and play... no tuning or messing with setting...

i think that a GT series turbo whatever one u decide isnt a whole lot less than the APR 3+ if u do it right and get a tubular mani from 034 or some of the other companies... that tacks about a grand onto the GTRS/GT28RS kits... plus the APR kit comes with a lot of goodies (TIP,manifold, all kinda stuff)... they have sales about 2x per year where u get 10% off and if u talk nice, i hear they will throw in a APR test pipe or APR HFC with the kit... so if u got those two (10% and TP/HFC)... it would be about the same.. maybe a few hundred more (compared to a GT turbo kit with tubular mani)

the GT series turbo will just require u to piece a lot more stuff together yourself./.

APR stage 3 is laggy but makes good power with a slight reliability trade-off.

how can you say a stg 3 is laggy? ITS A GT28R FOR CHRIST SAKE!! You will get 20psi just past 3k and the same thing for the stg3+ with the gt28rs. So if you think that is laggy, you shouldnt ever buy a real turbo or make reasonable power.

Have you ever driven a stage 3 a4? Have you shifted and tried to hold boost?

no but i have had a gt28r on my TT (sold kit right after install because i needed the money for school) and on my lancer. The gt28r will boost almost instantly and hit 20psi like i said just past 3k and hold well over 1bar to redline. So i dont know where your coming from

Well I drove several and I think they are slightly laggy and when you shift slow boost drops off. I will say they have a good powerband and pull hard but you will definitely notice a difference.

Of course it seems laggy to a insta-spool turbo like a ko3. As for the drop off, if you shift like a granny, the rpms will most cartainly drop, faster if they have a lwfw like just about everyone with a new clutch has.
