Default Attention all Tiptronic drivers!

Yo I was wondering if anyone with tiptronic experiences the same thing I am. When Im driving and coming to a stop, it seems that it downshifts almost too soon. When it downshifts into 1st to a complete stop, there is a little surge as it downshifts. Anyone else ecperience this? Is this normal? It isnt getting worse, its always the same slight surge when downshifting-coming to a stop. When it shifts up, its real smooth. Should I have the fluid/filter changed? My vag tool says everything is ok.

I notice this when using the tiptronic mode, abd shifting down into first coming to a stop, but while the car is in drive, i have no such problem. I drive a B6 though, so it would be better to ask a B5 driver.

When in tip and coming to a stop , you can either downshift yourself into 1st(no point) , or when you are almost stopped it when do it for you.
And yes when downshifting into 1st coming to a stop there will be a surge. wether you do it , or the car does.
Its normal..

I am refering to when the gear selector is in Drive, not in manual shift. Think a snub will help?
