DUDE! I just recoded my tranny for the "old" style and that did the ******* trick!!!! Now, ill get my fluid changed and a SNUB mount..

Yeah shifts are slightly sooner, and no more surging when slowing down around 15-20mph. I think its going to be much more fuel efficient.

Originaly my code was the 0 for new style tip. Then I changed it to 2, which is what i was talking about above, but now, i just tried "1" for new style and it seems to be a mix of 0 and 2, and also makes manual mode downshift very smooth.. im sticking with the 1"new" setting for now. Very cool!

Its worth it... It drives like a normal car now. I seriously thought my tranny was f-ed there for a sec.

do you have a 2000? from the sounds of it, its only for that year. Im thinking after i do a snub ill put it back to the new style and see how that feels. The only thing i like about the "new style" is that it would downshift sooner into the next gear for on the spot power... Now it takes a lil more pedal work to get it to realize you want to go faster and downshift from say 4th to 3rd, or 5th to 4th. Word to your mother.

1.) can i do it on a tip c5 4.2?

2.) how do i do it on a tip c5 4.2? (do i download a program from my computer; can i set it from the control panel; should i have a pro do it; etc......)
