Well my mom managed to make the engire 2 hour drive from tahoer fine. snow ice accidents all avoided. then within literally 5 minutes of home, she hits a deer doing a good 55. Deer is nice and dead and Audi needs a face lift. it will need a new hood, drill, intake pipe, dents removed from teh front right corner pannel, and a new radiator for the AC. great. i let her borrow my car for 4 days excited to get it back and it goes away for god knows how long. i leave my house to get her, the tow truck shows up. it follows us half an hour to a auto shop we allways use. the late night drop off is locked and the key hole is gone. we drive another 20 minutes to work, wait 45 minutes for my dad to show up and unlock workl so we can put the car inside so it doesnt get broken into. in the mean while i get ranted to by my mom because she is mad at dad and the police interrogate me because they think im breaking into my own god damn work. what a sh!tty night....... pics comming 2morrow when my dad brings the camera cord home.

Get a carbon fiber hood. I would possibly sell my ac condenser. The hood alone would save you a lot of money without painting.

ya, i know a grand for CF, but what about for a stock replacement?

 

A stock hood plus paint will cost more, about a $1000 for labor on the paintjob alone, at least that's what it was to paint a camary hood at a good body shop here.

 

mmm. yellow and black go so well together. i hope i can go CF. i hate bickering with insurance companies...

 

they should let you get a cf hood, most companies do, just get them the invoice of a cfhood and let them order it.

 

who is going to pick up the tab if you dont go through insurance.. sorry to hear about the car..
