Just have the body shop use the money for replacing the hood with an OEM one to buy a CF one, and pocket the difference (assuming the shop will let you). If they won't get the estimate from the shop to show to your insurance, and then tell them it would be cheaper for them if they replaced it with a CF one and you'd be happy with it (they aren't going to say no to saving money, thats their job... to dick you!).

I am deathly afraid of deer here in Montana. I try not to drive outside of town at night. I was considering the whole CF hood thing when I wrecked my car, but IMO Silver and Carbon doesn't look that good. Yellow and Carbon will look sweet though. If you have some extra money to kick down, buy an S4 bumper too!

EDIT - If it makes you feel any better, we had 7 deer hanging in our garage throughout this season, and I am eating some venison (deer) jerky at work right now that we made last night. We have hundreds of pounds of the best meat you can eat (next to elk).

 

ProOnThaSnow forgot to mention that he killed all 7 with his A4 and made the jerkey using the heat from the exhaust.

my dad says the insurance company doesnt like putting aftermarket parts on becuase of warrenty issues or some crap like that. any help on that matter would be nice. we are gonna try and bug em 2morrow

Can't you get an estimate from a body shop, give it to the insurance company, get a check from them and tell the body shop what to do and not to do? You would want the body shop to estimate with original parts, and have the insurance company sutract the deductable.

 

oaky we did look at this. my dad doesnt like the idea but he says he will do it if i really want it. i talked to the body shop, they will know 2morrow mourn if i can do it. then i need to find out how soon i can get the hood. because i NEED my car back and the shop can get it by nxt friday. if the hood delays it then it is a no go

 

Less paint though. Who needs a hood anyway. Tell them to fix the rest and you can take care of the hood.

shoudl insurance cover it except you have to pay whatever your deductable is?
