audi a4 1.8t cabriolet 2003 has the shakes
hi pls someone slap me if i have posted this in the wrong place and then direct me to where i should go pls.
ok my car is idling very badly and coming up with error code p0171 system to lean bank 1, and is leaking oil. the engine looks as though it is misfiring as it is shaking and a noise is coming from the top left side of engine.
i took it to the garage for a service and they changed the sparks/ coils/ top gasket/ front oxygen sensor. but the engine still sounds bad at idle and sounds as though it is misfiring. they cleaned the diverter valve and said it was ok
after doing some research i can hear an air leak sound from the right of the engine bay( but cannot see it). if i remove the dip stick i can feel a vacuum pulling it back in.
so i took it to another garage and they say maybe the turbo has blown!!symptoms??
also what does the message DEF. mean on the dash above the digital mileage...how can i clear it.
anyone have any ideas

I've fixed idle vibrations by fixing vacuum leaks. Your code can be caused by a leak, and the hissing noise indicates one too. Check the lines that are plugged into the throttle inlet pipe - there are 4-5 of them and they can leak where they plug in. You can wrap the ends with self-vulcanizing tape to make the fit tighter.
