Audi A4 1.8t RELIABILITY questions
Hey everyone,
I just signed up cause I had a question about Audi's. I'm thinking about getting a 1.8t for college, but I was wondering if it was a reliable car.
I'm looking for something that is affordable and reliable.
here is what I'm looking into:
1997 Audi A4 1.8t 73,000 miles
$6,100
Here are recent repairs done to the car:
· New battery – Dec 2002
· Brakes replaced – April 2003
· Serpentine belt replaced – April 2003
· New ball bearings – July 2004
· 4 New tires – Feb 2005
· New clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing – Dec 2005
· New tie rod ends, suspension check, 4 wheel alignment and road test performed – Jan 2006
It's had Two Owners. Since 2002, it was driven by the wife of the guy who put up the listing :/
He claims that there were no "major issues" and the only things he replaced were normal things like Tires, Brakes, and Clutches ect. things of that nature.
So would you guys recommend this car? If the engine is gonna blow up or die out on me anytime soon, then i'll shy away...
thanks in advance,
-albert
