audi a4 2002 installed new caliper piston wont come out
hey guys i changed my rear drivers side caliper and now the piston wont come out.
i think i should bleed the brakes... but i want to make sure it works... should i bleed all the corners before fully installing it... it also seems like something was impeding it last time i installed.. it wasnt sitting on right
because there is fully no brake anymore i literally tried pumping it a hundred times trying to bleed them
it is soo close but it just wont go... i have the e brake out and looks like theres slack.... but it just wont go out the other end more... how do i get it on??? its actually so close but wont go
oh and the piston magically came out so that is a good sign
fixed e brake but now calipers wont go on easy over new brake pads
ok so i got them on... the new problem is when i put the calipers back on over the brake pads, it doesn't seem to line up properly... its really hard to put one caliper back on and then the other is just almost impossible it doesnt seem right... almost as if the outer brake pad iisnt sitting properly.... im not too sure.. doesnt seem like it should go through the hole because then theres a gap from the outer bracket
Hi so problem was wrong brake pads. Dealership recommended oem version that extra clip part stuck out more.
so new problem I bleed all the brakes and there’s no compression still in the brake. Just slowly rises back up. Do you think I need a new master cylinder now?
Hi nobody replies to this... well i am replacing the master cylinder and then this next rod from inside came loose and out... is this supposed to be loose and just goes in when you put the master cylinder back in? thanks....
Not a lot of activity on here anymore. Did you rotate the caliper back in or press it in? If you pressed it then there is a good chance it is damaged. I have changed the pads on my car multiple times and not had this issue. Would have thought you would still get pedal even if the rear calipers were damaged.
