Hi, I recently bought an Audi A4 1.9 tdi auto, one of the oil seals went inside the auto gearbox, that's been done, now the garage say the gearbox is in 'safe mode' And will only get into 3rd gear so about 35 - 40mph. i wondered if there was a way to reset it myself so it will not be in safe mode, i'm sure i read somewhere that taking the battery off would reset something or other but don't want to take it off incase i damage it even more, thanks for your replies, they're greatly appreciated.
