Hi guys, I'm new to this site. I'm after a little advice if possible. I have bought a Audi avant 1.8t. 2003. The car has the BEX engine currently but it's buggered. I have bought an engine from my pal but it's a APU engine. He tells me this will fit. Do I need to replace or get anything sorted as don't want the car over fuelling etc....... If so please could you let me know.

 

At the very least I would think you'd need the ECU, engine bay harness, and chassis wiring diagrams for both your car and the car the donor engine came out of (what car was that?). You may need to repin your harnesses for everything to go where it belongs.
