Hey wuts up guys im looking at an audi a4 to buy and i found 2 good ones but the one that i think is the best has no maintnance records. its from a car dealer and i asked if they had the service records and they said al it has are the books and manuals?

wat i wanted to ask is should i buy it yes or no?
and if i do wat are the things i should look for before making any type of deal?

 

I dont think that it matters either way but you should be able to go into the service department and have them pull the vin on thier computer. They should have records of every service ever performed at a dealer. We can do this at VW and audi has the same system. Obviously there will be no record if it was not serviced at an audi dealer but the vin should come up no matter what

 

Here's a tip: Get a carfax report, it should tell you where the car was originally purchased, along with any reported accidents. While it may not list the actual dealer from where the car was sold on the report, it will list the city and give you a good idea of who/where the dealer is. Once you have a good idea who the dealer is, call them and give them the VIN and see if they have any records on file of maintenance.

I was lucky enough to have the original sticker when i bought mine, and it told me where mycar was originally sold. Ironically enough, it was sold at my local dealer and i purchased the car in another city.

My tip may or may not yield any results, it's just a suggestion, but doing some homework never hurts.

If your buying from a dealer I think they usually print out carfaxes for free for anything your considering
