Audi A4 Power Steering Fluid
Ok, complete newb here still.. but well I was looking under the hood of my car and I checked out the fluids and noticed the Power Steering was really low, so I went to the Audi dealership and bought some Audi Power Steering Fluid.
I was reading the bottle and it said "Warning: Do not mix with other hydraulic oils. Do not use for automatic transmissions".
I was confused... because I have a Automatic/Tiptronic 01' Audi A4 1.8T, FWD.
So is it ok to use it or not?

its the right stuff. what they mean is dont use it in your tranny. Anyone ever find out why the power steering goes low so often? Mine has to be refilled every other month or so. Sometimes it gets to the min line in about 2.5 months.
i dont know why it goes low either. I needed to get topped off cause i was hearing slight grinding noise when turning the wheel especially while cold. Service guy at Audi had a bottle sitting right next to him and he topped me off. He says he does it all the time and that its not an indicator of a leak.
The fluid goes low only when the system leaks. Check lines underneath the drives side bumper for the cooler lines, they like to leak at the clamps in very small amounts. If you need to refill it monthly I would guess you have a leak in a low pressure line or in the rack itself (a small amount of wetness around the rack boots mean the inner rack seals are leaking and the rack will need replaced).
