Hii all,

I have 1997 audi A4 2.8, recently i was getting weird noises from my engine i showed it to mechanic he told the powersteering fluid level is low so only it is making noise.

he also told that there is some leakage of that fluid he suggested me to put some kind of synthetic fluid, he was asking me $60
I know that if i buy that fluid online it would be much cheaper .

Does any one know what kind of fluid is he talking about.

and what is powersteering fluid suggested for my car.

Any ideas?.

Pentosin 11S. About 11 dollars a liter. Do not use tranny fluid or PS fluid.

To my surprise my local NAPA actually has a few cans.

60 dollars????o jesus, i got the audi direct stuff for only 15 bucks for ...forgot how much, but its alot. filled up the reservoir like 3 times and its still half full...

put nothing other than stuff that has the 4 rings on it. or hte vw stuff.
