wus up!!!
i dont know if this is a problem or not but the scale on the water temp goes up to the middle, is that normal? and i wanted to know what is the actual temp for audi a4, mine is a 1999 audi a4 sport 1.8TQA



that is the actuall pic of my car. well its goes more up it sits right in the middle and i wanted to know if that is normal!!???

dude thats normal operation temp ... as long as its not way past the middle your fine.. mine usually goes up to if not a little over the middle mark when im just sitting in heavy traffic on a hot day..

no worries..

and wow didnt know the 99 and 99.5 instrument cluster were so different..

Hmmm... Hotest ive ever seen my oil temp is at two marks bellow the middle, and my water temp is always dead middle-well once the engine is warmed up.
Oh i thouhgt you asked about water and oil temps. But yeah middle is normal.

and wow didnt know the 99 and 99.5 instrument cluster were so different..

That's just the cluster w/o the computer option. My sisters 98.5 has the more common "dead pixel" cluster, whereas, mine which is also a 98.5 has the one pictured above.

my car just had the same problem, but mine went a full mark extra than the middle and abit more during heavy traffic on a hot hot day, then when the traffic started to move it went back to the middle. Should i be worried the next time that happens?
or is it normal too?

most UK cars go to half way that's no problem here but if your concerned then change the thermostat and coolant and ensure your getting heat into the cabin

Ya that's normal. But if it starts getting too hot roll down all ur windows and blast ur heat. That'll help some. U might also wanna take some clothing off if it's a really hot day[8D]
