this is the point that i have been trying to get across to people.. i think they just don't admit it because their honda's, mitsu's, and suby's will never be close the pkg that you get with Audi

I tried the 1.8T and 3.0 before buying my car and went with the turbo. Since you are not interested in the stop light drag race, I would say go for the 1.8T - the surge you feel (and hear) when punching it while rolling along is a great rush. Just make sure you get it chipped.

Same deal with quattro - there's nothing like taking on and off ramps at twice+ the posted speed with absolutely no drama. I sometimes forget when driving other vehicles and surprise myself, since going the posted limit results in an uncomfortable amount of body lean and tire scrub. Having had quattro I can never go back to anything less.
