I just brought in the car yesterday to Champoin Audi and for some stupid reason the CEL light was off the whole day yesterday. It was on the whole time from Friday till Sunday...and now when the people that really need to know what's wrong with it, it goes off lol. Audi said that if its not a serious problem, the ECU doesn't store it. Is that true?

 

The ECU will store the code, its in there, even if your cel isnt on.

 

ok cool, they also asked me if it was a steady or blinking CEL. What's the difference?

 

blinking is bad... steady is not as serious...
