yes b5s take 16.4. The trip computer will tell you 5 miles left but you really have an extra 1-1.5gallons. Its a fail safe so you don't run your tank to empty, all manufacturers do it.

holy crap. i've got a k04, and i get 26mpg when i'm slamming on it... usually get about 29 or 30 when i'm drivivng it like a grandpa (stay out of the throttle, don't boost above 10psi). I get 400 miles per tank, give or take a couple miles. Most of my driving is combined city/highway.... if i'm on the highway, i usually get about 32.

btw, this is calculated from how much i put in versus how many miles i go, there's no estimation gauge on mine. (don't know if they're on others or what the deal with that is).

I don't know what I average per tank, but right now I'm getting ~23.8mpg. 90% city and country driving (and only getting my foot into it on Fridays...usually [&:]).

So it sure seems like there is a big swing amongst averages here just among the few of us commenting on it. I did however check on my tire pressure today after thinking about it (and seeing a commercial with Mario Andretti about it) so I went out to check. Max inflated psi is 44 so I would bring it to like 40~41 but found they were all down to 29.5~31psi. So when I pumped them up I definitely noticed a mileage increase when I took a good 50 mile drive and noticed that the mileage was way up to 24.8mpg!! So I am glad I checked on the tires. Still going to do my normal runs this week and check but it was definitely a thing to check for those getting a bit low mileage.

as long as its within the inflation limit its fine. I couldn't tell you how many times people come in the shop with over inflated tires just ready to blow.
