AWD and Staggerd Wheel setup question?

99.5 a4 quattro 1.8t manual

i feel deep down inside that i shouldnt but i just wanted to ask so i know definetly. should i do this and how will it affect my car? the reason i ask if i found a pretty good deal on a used rim/tirepackage.....but it is a staggered setup....could i just buy spacers for the front or is this a direction i need to avoid completely? thanks in advance ..i wont be able to reply til i get home....

you can do staggered as in widder in the back but you can't go step sizes. it will F^ your awd.

HEY HEY HEY! lets keep the daily drivers out of this... lol, but yeah i think it is fien if you get wider wheels in the back, the quattro system puts about 20% more power to the rear than the front when you step on it, so it might help with launches.

No benefits to doing this besides having the "look", plus the fact that you will not be able to rotate your tires kinda sucks.

Believe me I was kicking around the idea for about a month before I made the logical decision. I dont know what size wheel your considering on purchasing, but 19" tires are going to cost a grip especially, in 30 series.

My wheels turned out fantastic and are not staggered.

a staggered offset will have no effect on your car
a staggered width on the other hand could, and you can only run staggered widths on your quattro, if you make sure the rolling diameter of the tires are the same or are within (i think) .5% of eachother
