axle Boot tear and have some questions for you guys
Hey I tore the rubber boot that protects the cv joint and my ball bearings. I did some searching and noticed that sometimes you need to replace the ball bearings and sometimes you don't have to and all they need is a good cleaning.
MY QUESTION: How can you tell if the ball bearings are damaged or not?
Do they usually get damaged and need to be replaced or do they usually just need cleaning?
Please help.

turn the wheel all the way left and right then accelerate from full stop. if you hear some grinding noise coming from front of the engine bay, then it's time to get new ones.
it's a relly expensive part, you can get the boot kit if you have some tool to fix yourself.
