although it may not be nessicary it doesnt hurt, i have a FMIC on my car with the k03 and anyone that says its gunna hurt performance is full of BS it has done nothing but helped, my car pulles much stronger and longer now and you can feel the difference, and absolutly no heat soak....so far.... every one bitched about the pressure drop and says thats what hurts well on mine its less then .25psi, and i doubt you would even notice that much if the car stock dropped that much let alone chipped , getting a fmic does nothing but help

also an FMIC wouldn't be very necessary for me on a stock turbo. Actually from what i have heard, it'd make a negative effect

I just don't understand how you are going to get much airflow coming in the wheel well to the IC.
All it will do is help hot air flow out of the engine bay.
