YES AGREED. For a VOLVO which I never thought i would consider i would consider it but i think you can get more for you money.

 

i thnk B5's are so much nicer looking. B6's look so heavy to me..so round and ugly. Butr i have to say the B6 does look nice with a body kit...still too "big" looking. Plus the B5 is MUCH more tuneable.B555 all the way........

 

Do you even know what you are talking about..... the 1.8T in the B6 was upgraded from the one put in the B5's, So your tuning quote is way wrong.... Plus with the A4, the options you put in them change how much you can mod the car and what kind of MODDING you are going for. The Quattros are sweet in the S-Turns and Cornering, but the FWD's are waaay Faster.... Less weight and driveline loss...

 

04A4 you got a point about FWD vs. AWD to a point I have FWD and my acceleration is limited by traction even wit a K03.

You get to a certain point and AWD is faster because instead of all that power goin up in FWD tire smoke and tourqe steer it goes to all the wheels and doesnt lose traction.

I agree with Goose2 that the B5 is more tunable but thats only because its been out so long the b6 is only 3years old so they dont have the number of mods that the B5 has

 

04A4, you might as well give up. your the only one defending the B6. Just face it , its a far inferior car to the B5. The B6 is like 400 pounds heavier and the turbo engine has no advantages over the B5. In fact it cant handle as much boost as the B5 because of the variable timing.


Chriz, how comw you have a longitunally mounted FWD car? how is that even possible?

haha 04a4 sooo much faster? try .1 seconds 0-60 faster. I would pay the extra 3thousand more if i had to for quattro. Whats an audi w/o it? But i would never buy a b6..just not sporty enough
