I agree, these car's just arn't sporty enough till you do something to them, plus the extra little weight is minimal when you compare to the added horsepower w/a chip and other mods, yes our cars are new and there are not very many things out there for them, but at least i am getting to be the prototype for new products comming out for my car... As for FWD vs. Quattro, if you know how to launch a quattro you are definatly going to win off the line, but the FWD will catch up, handling wise, the FWD's computer system is soo sophisticated that it is pretty much impossible to get this car sideways, i have tried and can't do it... So for the advantages of quattro and the ADDED weight, i don't see the benefit... TOOO much extra added weight unless you have an S4 motor to power through the extra weight and drivetrain loss......

i c ur point..if you live in a city where it snows all the time and the temperature is constantly below 20 the quattro comes in handy. I bought the car b/c i wanted awd, so to me its essential. Hopefully when i get out of college ill be able to pick up a used EvoMR, the best of both worlds..

you must have esp because my car can get very sideways if Im at full thottle goin through a turn I get severe understeer...tire-smoking understeer with quattro you get a controllable four wheel drift or a little understeer and with the right suspension mods you could even get oversteer... that my friend is the true advantage of quattro...

Ok Ok, that Sounds sweet, and yeah i have the ESP, but i don't espically like it all that much, i used to drive a 5.0 Mustang Newer body style and loved getting that oversteer..

we have AWD which is full time (all 4 wheels have power at all times) and 4WD is only when needed the power is sent like when the car feels that a lost in traction

wrong. you got that backwards.

awd is able to be tranferred. 4wd is locked. all four wheels must spin at the same rate at the same speed in 4wd. real 4wd is very rare in newer cars. I know its not what you guys wanted to hear but its the truth.
