B6 02 Cooling fan comes on at cold start-up
Just saved about $900 not having dealer replace my coolant flange and some small oil seep. Repair went well, just one problem. When I start the car cold, the engine (radiator)cooling fans come onuntil warm-uphas occured (about 4 min.).
Did I or can you installelectrical connection backwards???????????????????

I checked the fans and they seem fine. Wiring to it was untouched by repair and functional at start of repair. I did gently "tap" the coolent temp sensor to seat it in the o-ringwhen re-installing coolent flange, and I am concerned I may havedamaged the sensor itself.
I first installed the sensor in the flange when on the bench, but later realized I installed it 90d out of wack. I pulled it, rotated it and it was hard going back in so I used a rubber pad andtapped it back in.
