I am trying to find a good wire that I can use for my "illumination" wire on my AVIC-Z1.
Does anyone know of the easiest one I can locate that is near my headunit? Or I guess if its over there near the fuse box I can run a wire over.

Id just run it to the fuse box its easier that way

 

Sure that wouldn't be hard. But what I need to know is what fuse #, what wire, what place? etc.
If I just knew it I could tap in to it.

Someone is hardcore out there and knows :P

my radio was ripped out and this wire turned the dash light on when the ignition was turned on

 

I didn't install my NAV, the shop did it, so I am going to take it back and make them do it. This wire, is it right back in the whole headunit area or over by the fuse box? I assume you mean by the headunit cuz yours got ripped out and that was the wire. Any 411 on where exactly it is, so I can know for certain?
