B6 Boost Gauge Mount

Default B6 Boost Gauge Mount

Ok. I really need to get a boost gauge before I go mod happy. It's just that I don't like the vent mount and don't want to implant an a-pillar mount in my forehead if the airbag deploys. Has anyone tried a flat mount pod on the upper left side of the dash? I'm thinking painted to match the interior it might look good without being too obvious. Any other ideas would be great too!

if you search around you may be able to find the boost gauge that fits the air conditioner vent.

Yeah, I know that AWE has them. I just don't like to look and I like the heat in my face.

I was thinking along these lines minus the ricer element:
