Default b6 clear corner mod question

So, about a week or so ago, i made a post about how happy i was to be back in the audi community. I was planning to get a b5 a4 avant, but found a b6 avant that i went with instead (ill post pics when i get a chance) I used to own a b6, and did the clear corner mod on it with absolutely no issues at all. So of course, thats the first diy mod i set out to do on my new b6.
For some reason, the orange piece inside of the passenger light gave me a son of a bitch of a time getting out. It was like the little orange tabs you grind off were concreted in there or something. It took a considerable amount of grinding with my dremel to free the piece. This resulted in TONS of little plastic shavings collecting inside of the light housing. I got a can of compressed air, which helped a little; but there is still kind of a lot of plastic dust in there. Its sticking to everything and wont really budge using the can of air. All it does is move to one corner if anything, and then get stuck there. You cant tell from a few feet away, but if you get close you can see it all inside there. It looks horrible. Does anyone know of any other way i could go about getting it clean inside of there? Is there anyway I can completely take the whole light housing apart? Im guessing not because that would probably be the way youd do the clear corner mod in the first place. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. It looks like crap upclose, and i dont want to buy a new headlight. Thanks in advance.

Default RE: b6 clear corner mod question

You can take it apart, but its terribly difficult and many people end up ruining their housings.....if you do, might as well do the joey mod... search www.audizine.com for it

mine needed very little of the amber tabs removed, i actually used a very small drill bit and just drilled straight through the center of the tab which cracked the tab and allowed it to come free... mine only show the small rectangle hole that the amber tab sat in, no additional dremeling was needed

find a friend with a air compressor and get them to blow it out for you
