Default B6 RWD conversion thoughts?

Ok, I love the B6 and the A4, but I can't stand the fact that it is a FWD and i don't want the quattro with this motor. This got me thinking and started to wonder if a RWD conversion is at all possible for this car. There is already the rear hump for the drive shaft in the back seat. I would like to hear all thoughts on this and wheather or not it is possible. I am starting to really consider this as a possiblity as I have always had more fun driving RWD and like the looks of the car and think it would be awsome....

Thoughts??

with enough money its possible you would need ALL rear suspension and diff and a different tranny and a different center diff probably ... why not just go quattro why dont you want that lol

I just like whippin shitty's in a RWD car and love how you can get the rear out. I dunno i just grew up with the rwd. I've driven the awd's but there's something missing that i don't like, i know they handle awsome, but I just like rwd cars better. I like being able to get the rear end out and doing doughnuts. I would need a lot of power to keep all 4 wheels in a burnout doing doughnuts in a quattro.

I was also thinking of Sleeving and beefing up the motor more and try for 300+ whp. And rwd, i think it would be a blast.

well 300 rwhp isnt too hard if you get your **** together, do the rwd conversion and the motor doesnt need much more than a different turbo, and **** to go with it and 300 is there, the stock motor can handle 350 pretty easily

yeah i know, but i've heard that the fwd models have problems with that much hp, 350 rwhp would be awsome. I think this car would be fun as a rwd.

i dunno it must be in the tranny if the FWDs have issues the quattros tranny can take anything with a good clutch

it has to do with the front end control arms and bushings, they end up wearing out. Also anything over 300 hp on a fwd is hard to keep on the ground and connect with. I am at about 270 at the crank and my wheels will break loose at about 4 to 5k rpms in both 1st and 2nd gears.

if you like shittys just buy an old crown vic and shoehorn some bigass V8 in it. Thats a lot cheaper than finding a RWD trans that will actually bolt up, rear diff, etc.

Just get a quattro and throw in the Stasis center diff for a rear bias. Or get a quattro and get the center diff modified for rwd.

Audi is switching to a 40/60 front/rear torque split. This
should handle like a rear drive.
