Default B7 Headlights

How in hell do they come off, I don't have to take the grill and bumper off do I? I attempted to remove it today but can't seem to take the whole assembly off. I got as far as removing the air duct and the two screws holding the assembly but it won't come out. I did a search here and at audiworld before my attempt but coudn't find anything, so I thought I'd just go ahead and give it a go..but..nuttin....[:@]

Don't the bulbs come out the back of the headlight assembly? There's no room to take the bulbs out without removing the assembly

I dont think Audi can make such a mistake. You should not have to remove the headlight to change a bulb, I think. [&:]

I really want to change the look of my lights, I don't like the looks of the oem halogen so I got some Roadmax metal white bulbs. I've considered getting a hid kit but I don't want to have this guy's problem

The headlight was loose after I unbolted it, and it would only move about half an inch side to side. I'll give it another try this weekend

Well you said you took out the 2 top screws. If it is the same as my 01 a4 there are a total of 3 screws. To get to the 3rd screw you need a long extension. Also the to get to the screw you have to go threw a hole in your fender. You will see it looking down from the engine bay.. Hope you understand what I mean and it works out for you..
