I got a new timing kit fitted 2 days ago. The car drove fine afterwards and yesterday near the end of a 50 mile journey the glow plug light started flashing. The car drove fine regardless. I parked up for 4 hours and after another 50 mile home, the car would not start this morning, it fired up then cut off straight away with the glow plug light flashing again.

The AA breakdown recovery service looked at my car, no faults read up on the computer. He suggested lots of possibilities, injector - but then the car wouldn't have made it home apparently. Crank sensor, not timed correctly and many other things, but there were reasons why none of these were possible.

I also tried both keys which had both previously worked, but the car just wont start up and run.

Has anyone any ideas?

The car is April 2008, 2.0 TDi 143BHP.
