ok so im driving to school this afternoon i notice that my car temp raises about quarter way past half and den decreases to half way. So i pay no mind and keep driving. Finally i get to school and im sitting in m car letting the turbo cool of when i hear a beeping noise and realize the temp went up to HIGH i immediately turn off the car pop the hood but no coolant anywhere no leaks no nothing. Ok so i go to class i leave the car off i come back from clas i decidee to dive down to my girls house bout 12 exits away i begin to take it easy as im driving the car temp remains half way. in a matter of split second it hits HIGH again so i pull over and turn off the car. notice this time tehres coolant leaking but there is no hoses broken no nothing so im baffled with this. by the way if your looking at the engine on the left side by the exhaust it was BRIGHT RED.

does anyone know wat can be wrong? thermostat? any ideas.

additionally at this point the car was making a noise like if coolant were running thru da lines even when the car was off and a loud tapping noise was coming from the engine.

this just messed up a really great day!!!

 

could be a number of problems...when was the timing belt done last? sounds like it could be a stuck thermostat.

 

check the bottom hose from the radiator it might be weak and collapse under pressure preventing coolant flow
