thats the first time that i have had it off.....could i be on the exhaust side of the turbo? maybe the shaft that the wastegate hooks up to on the exhaust side?

the other day my boost went down to about 4 or 5 psi for no reason. I unhooked negative terminal of the battery for about an hour then hooked it back up and did a TBA. then I had my boost back. if you haven't tried that you should. the chip may be sending your ECU into limp mode and it needs to be reset. this is simple and free way to troubleshoot the ecu. is there any noises (wooshes) coming from the engine bay when on the gas?

Hed still get 8-10 psi if he were in limp mode. Im thinking its a wastegate problem or huge boost leak. But that big of a boost leak would cause him to run WAY rich and hed probably be missfireing. If there was a problem with the exhaust side of the turbo, hed hear it.

Replace the small vacumm line that goes from the DV to the intake manifold. ( like $6) mine had a bunch of small cracks in it that were very hard to see, but it kept the DV from closing properly so it didn't hold boost.

^^ yup deffinately replace that, i held boost better/longer when i replaced that line too. It would have to be pretty damn cracked and torn up to only hold 2psi if that is the problem though. But Id just replace the k03 with a k04 and new boost/vac lines to be safe

My vac line looked like a rabbid cat went to town on it. I don't know if it was holding any pressure when i get the car. And it was destroyed inside the webbing, so I couldn't see that it was toast.

It is running rich and about 4500 to 5000 it seems to missfire......do you think i should start by taking the neg cable off? im thinking it could be the wastegate. but we did a test and it help vac....so i dont know now....
